Marjorie Baker Price, a registered nurse who is a certified hypnotherapist and level III reiki master, founded Centering for Wellness to support holistic healing for teens with cancer, elderly people who need care, and post-traumatic stress victims.
The Brighton-based effort has received funding through the Polisseni Foundation to work with teens at Melissa's Living Legacy/Teens Living with Cancer, Al Sigl Center. Centering for Wellness is holding its first fundraiser, "An Afternoon in the Park, with lunch, music, reiki treatments and more from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Brighton Town Park's Carmen Clark Lodge, 777 Westfall Road.
