Geriatric Nursing Leadership Initiative
This program is designed to train and educate public and health care professionals on holistic health practices that
- Train and educate public and healthcare professionals on holistic health practices that help protect, support and strengthen daily functioning, and recover self-esteem and empowered choice-making
- Expand awareness and coping skills for chronic or life-threatening illness for patients, families, and caregivers
- Identify and support experiencing illness and the stages of grief
- Evaluate daily functions and integrate holistic health practices into daily routine and tasks amongst all levels of staff to work in alignment with broad organizational vision
Successful implementation of Centering for Wellness programs will yield:
- An increase of community knowledge of alternative techniques to improve overall functioning and health
- Increase the number of individuals and programs utilizing these innovative techniques

Teens with Cancer: Empowerment tools and stages of grief
This program is designed to understand and support innate multidimensional healing processes and empowered coping that:
- Improves overall response to the experience of illness and the stages of grief
- Expands awareness and coping skills for chronic and/or life-threatening illness for patients, families and caregivers
