Centering for Wellness programs will utilize the core power of grassroots self-care and self-responsibility to promote out-of-the-box thinking and personal leadership, with a greater commitment to honor and caringly participate in personal, professional and community relationships. The programs will focus in three key areas as needed by the target audience:
- Train and educate public and healthcare professionals on holistic health practices that help protect, support and strengthen daily functioning, and recover self-esteem and empowered choice-making
- Expand awareness and coping skills for chronic or life-threatening illness for patients, families, and caregivers
- Identify and support experiencing illness and the stages of grief
- Evaluate daily functions and integrate holistic health practices into daily routine and tasks amongst all levels of staff to work in alignment with broad organizational vision
Successful implementation of Centering for Wellness programs will yield:
- An increase of community knowledge of alternative techniques to improve overall functioning and health
- Increase the number of individuals and programs utilizing these innovative techniques
Teens with Cancer: Empowerment tools and stages of grief
This program is designed to understand and support innate multidimensional healing processes and empowered coping that:
- Improves overall response to the experience of illness and the stages of grief
- Expands awareness and coping skills for chronic and/or life-threatening illness for patients, families and caregivers
Special Needs of Women with Cancer
Offering self-help and holistic empowerment programs to:
- Enhance recovery, quality of life, and survivorship
- Support initiative and improved coping responses to challenges and symptoms of disease
Returning Military and Vets from Combat Tours of Duty, and Women Vets
Offering readjustment self-help programs that:
- Improve coping and resolution of PTSD through nurturing integrative holistic practices like meditation, journaling and energy healing
- Help restore core identity; and problem-solving initiatives to successfully reenter civilian life by building insight, better understanding past and present stressors, and developing themselves as a better resource to successfully meet adjustment challenges
The Special Needs of Abused Women and Children
Programs offer unique integrative recovery and wellness solutions to:
- Understand and the additionally full and devastating perpetuating effects of victimization, teaching simple, powerful self-help tools to reestablish healthy boundaries and support completing the stages of grief for healing and resolution
- Offer uniquely integrative self-healing and empowerment programs that recover and build trust, self-esteem and independent functioning
