How to Create Key Affirmations for Happiness and Success in the New Year

Receiving and Releasing Creates Your Best Affirmations to Bring Forth Your Dreams

I work a lot with affirmations in my life and practice.  I believe they help not only uplift our attitude, but better balance our energetic fields and bring forth our inner source of power and clarity as core supports.  Here is a simple, very effective guide to creating key affirmations for happiness and success in the new year:

Set aside uninterrupted time to settle back, close your eyes, and take several deep, cleansing breaths.  As you inhale, say the word receive to yourself, and as you exhale, say the word release.   Spend a few moments fully envisioning the life you wish to live. 

Write Your Ideal Vision

Imagine who is there, where you live, how you live, and what you are doing throughout your days.  Feel happy, content, joyful, at ease, clear, and centered.  When your day dream feels complete, open your eyes and write down in the present tense all the details of your vision.

Then read through what you have written.  Begin to create in separate sentences specific statements describing how you feel, what happens, and these details of your vision, using the phrases I am, I have, I feel; and as you wish, Infinite/Higher Power, The Universe, The Energy of the World, The All That Is.  These are affirmations – positive self-statements that energetically activate your dreams, to begin to manifest them in physical reality, through building your motivation and focus to create and well relate in your world.

Transform What is Getting in the Way of Happiness and Success

Now focus on whatever you honestly feel is getting in the way of your achieving your dreams, and begin to list all your related thoughts under the title, What Gets in the Way of This Happening.  When you feel the list is complete, once more settle back, close your eyes, and take several deep, cleansing breaths.  As you continue to inhale for these next several breaths, say the phrase receive light, and as you exhale say the phrase release fear.

As you feel complete with this brief centering guided meditation that uses these core affirmations, once more open your eyes and focus on your list.  With each item, rephrase it as its exact opposite and form a whole new set of sentences.  Once again, include the phrases  I am, I have, I feel; and as you wish, Infinite/Higher Power, The Universe, The Energy of the World, The All That Is in this additional set of key affirmations.

What to Do Going Forward

Combine all the affirmations you’ve created into one master list.  Commit to reading this list to yourself three times a day in a relaxed, meditative state, imagining that, in these moments everything you describe on your list is now happening.  When you’ve finished, say to yourself, I now release these guided visions to wonderfully and completely happen in my life with full divine help, and forget about it until your next time to focus.

Each day determine what simple thing you can do to bring forth one or more of your desires, and do it, congratulating yourself for your initiative and courage.  Keep a list of your actions by date, and see what magic happens in your life!
